Through a generous grant Powell County Schools is going to replace many doors, many door hardware components including patented keyways and keycores, and incorporate access controls for card entry into all exterior doors across our school district. This work will require work in over 100 door locations across all our campuses.
Any party interested in bidding on this work shall pick up at the Powell Co Board of Education office 691 Breckinridge St, Stanton, KY or can be requested by email at david.lyons@powell.kyschools.us for the spec and scope of work. All bids due by March 20th at 9:30am EST as we will open them at the Powell County Board of Education Board Room (651 Breckinridge St, Stanton, KY). At that point district level decision makers will take those and analyze what is proposed within your bid, make our internal decisions based on criteria we have set, and ask the Powell County Board of Education to approve the bid to begin implementation.
We would prefer for the bids to be all inclusive of door, door hardware, keys, door access and all integration, software systems for card programming where one company provides all aspects of this work. It may be that you want to collaborate with others on this job (i.e. locksmith, door hardware company, access control integrator) to turn in one very detailed quote with descriptions outlining product brands and models you plan to provide.
