Mrs. Glenda and Mrs. Holly’s Daycare inside Stanton Elementary School recently enjoyed a little “monkeying” around time with a fun story about 10 Little Monkeys. As the children read the story with Mrs. E, they counted as each new monkey color popped up on the colorful pages of the book.
The classroom instantly turned into a jungle of joyful, jumping toddlers monkeying around as they adorned their cool colorful monkey hats that they received. They took a moment to pause for a photo.
Seeing their faces light up makes it all worthwhile. Books can truly transport children, and adding a tangible piece of the story like the hats helps build a lifelong love for reading.
