To vote, you must be a registered Kentucky voter. The deadline to register to vote was
April 20th .
Kentucky has a closed primary system. A closed primary system means that only
registered Democrats may vote in the Democratic Primary and only registered Republicans may
vote in the Republican Primary.
Powell County has four (4) polling locations. Voters may vote at any of the following
precincts:
Bowen Elementary Gym – Address: 5099 Campton Rd, Stanton, KY 40380
Powell County High School Cafeteria – Address: 700 W College Ave, Stanton, KY
40380
Clay City Elementary (Gym or Cafeteria) – Address: 4901 Main St, Clay City, KY 40312
Clay City First Church of God – Address: 4200 Main St., Clay City, KY 40312
Election Day is Tuesday, May 19th . The polls will be open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Make a plan today to vote!
