Two-day festival features 300+ handmade glass pumpkins, a community Pumpkin Glow Garden, local artists and vendors, family activities and outdoor cinema.
BEREA, Ky. — The Old Town Fall Festival returns October 16–17, bringing two days of art, pumpkins and community activities to Old Town Berea.
Organized by the Old Town Shopkeepers with neighboring businesses and community partners, the festival centers on three signature events: Fire & Fern Glass Studio’s Glass Pumpkin Patch, Maddox Made’s Pumpkin Glow Garden, and Fall Fest After Dark, a Saturday evening celebration culminating with Moonlit Cinema on the Green.
Festivities begin Friday evening with the Pumpkin Glow Garden Pre-Glow and continue Saturday with handmade art, maker vendors, artisan shops, live demonstrations and activities.
Glass Pumpkin Patch
Saturday, October 17 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Fire & Fern Glass Studio’s Glass Pumpkin Patch will feature more than 300 handmade glass pumpkins and fall creations, all made in Berea. Visitors can browse one-of-a-kind pumpkins in a range of colors, shapes and sizes, along with glass acorns, gourds, ghosts and other seasonal pieces.
Throughout the day, visitors can also explore Old Town’s artisan shops, shop with maker vendors and see live demonstrations.
Pumpkin Glow Garden
Friday, October 16 | Pre-Glow, 6–9 p.m.
Saturday, October 17 | Open All Day + Main Glow, 6–9 p.m.
Presented by Maddox Made, the Pumpkin Glow Garden invites the community to contribute -carved and decorated pumpkins that become part of a growing display in Old Town.
Friday’s Pre-Glow offers the first illuminated viewing and the only opportunity to vote for Best of Glow. The garden remains open Saturday for daytime viewing and voting before the Main Glow from 6–9 p.m. A lighting ceremony will take place at dusk., followed by the announcement of contest winners at 7 p.m.
Fall Fest After Dark
Saturday, October 17 | Activities 6–8 p.m. | Moonlit Cinema at 8 p.m.
Saturday evening, Fall Fest After Dark takes place alongside the Pumpkin Glow Garden’s Main Glow. From 6–8 p.m., families can enjoy a Monster Mash Dance Party + Games, Kids’ Costume Parade, food trucks and vendors.
At 8 p.m., the Appalachian Cinema Preservation Society will present Moonlit Cinema on the Green. Festivalgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the outdoor showing.
The Old Town Fall Festival is presented by the Old Town Shopkeepers, including Fire & Fern Glass Studio, Maddox Made and Top Drawer Gallery, with support from Old Town neighbors and community partners.
